When you come to Mallorca for your Foodie Cycling holiday, I make it all as easy as possible, so you have the freedom to enjoy beautiful bike rides, stunning beaches and of course, lots of fantastic food and wine! I also arrange your bikes and equipment, the right itinerary for you, your hotel and your luggage, plus any spoiling extras I can think of to make your holiday the best it can be.
But understandably, of course you may have questions, which is why I’m always on hand to answer them. Here are a few of the most commonly asked questions below.
What do I need to bring?
Once you’ve booked, I supply a packing list for you which will be prepared especially for you, taking into account the season and the type of itinerary you are undertaking. This is to ensure you do not miss anything. On arrival, I will give you your welcome pack, in which you’ll find two water bottles and a drawstring bag.
What sort of bike will I ride?
What bike you ride is your choice, and the best bit is that we have a wide range of bikes to choose from, all a very high standard. Depending on your needs, you might like a road bike or an e-bike. Once you’ve picked your bike, the saddles and pedals will be adjusted and fitted for you so you have the perfect ride.
What’s the best itinerary for me?
The best itinerary for you depends on one thing – you. Are you an avid cyclist wishing to accomplish all the iconic routes on the island? Or are you perhaps more of a foodie who enjoys cycling to the next delicious treat – this is certainly me! Maybe you are travelling alone, with family, friends, or with your partner. I always love getting to know my clients beforehand with a few questions so I’m able to create the best itinerary for you, following all of your wishes.
Where will I stay?
Luckily for you, I know all the best places to stay on the island – even better I know the best rooms within the best hotels! Depending on who you’re travelling with, I might recommend a lovely, secluded hotel, a villa with a pool, a beachside residence or boutique hotel. I only ever recommend hotels which I believe are the highest quality – I know that when you’re cycling, having a great night’s sleep and being pampered really makes a difference on the next day’s ride.
Do I need to be in good shape?
I do get asked this question a lot, and the answer is that I would recommend being in good shape. I wouldn’t worry about being at your optimum fitness, unless you want to be, but I do think you get more out of a Foodie Cycling holiday if you have a good level of fitness. That way you can enjoy the rides instead of feeling hot and bothered! That said, we can provide roadside support – for example you might want to just cycle one-way to the Cap Formentor lighthouse, and we can arrange transport to bring you and the bikes back.
Do I have to cycle every day on my Foodie Cycling holiday?
This is entirely up to you. As the itinerary is created to your wishes, if you want to factor in non-cycling days then that can be easily arranged. In fact, I often recommend it! A day at sea on a private charter, an afternoon shopping in Palma, a private wine tasting and meet-and-greet with a wine producer or simply lazing on the beach are all components that will make your Foodie Cycling holiday an amazing experience.
If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m here to help.
Cheers!

Can you send me the different packages and costs? Which airport? your office location? Time and dates. Hotel recommendations?
Of course!
