Day 1: Welcome to Bilbao!
This vibrant port city is widely known for its impressive mix of art, food, and culture, and we are looking forward to showcasing that to you! Arriving in Bilbao airport, make your way to the brand new Palacio Arriluce. We will gather at the hotel for aperitivo followed by dinner.

Day 2: Coastal Ride

Vizcaya’s coastal treasures await us! We will discover picturesque fishing villages like Plentzia and Bakio as we journey along this remarkable coastline all the way to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe church, perched dramatically by the sea, offering breathtaking views. We’ll savor the essence of Basque culture with a txakolí wine tasting at a local winery, relishing the renowned Basque white wine.

Day 3: Vuelta classic climb

Today we will experience a transition in the landscape as we journey from gentle terrain to the majestic Cantabrian Mountain Range. Upon conquering the Vuelta classic Herrera Pass, we will step into La Rioja, a globally renowned region celebrated for its exceptional wines. As we progress, the scenery will undergo a striking transformation, revealing a distinctive wine country characterized by endless rolling hills, captivating medieval towns and unique architectural wineries.
Our midday stop will be in the enchanting Laguardia, where you can also look forward to an immersive winery visit.

Day 4: La Rioja, salud!

A memorable day of cycling in the beautiful Rioja Alavesa region! We’ll take you through famous towns like Elciego and Labastida, offering multiple route options suitable for various skill levels. As we pedal through scenic vineyards and rolling hills, you’ll be captivated by the breathtaking landscapes. In the evening, we will visit the most famous winery of the area, Marques de Riscal, built by Frank Gehry.

Salty – Rioja loop – 73 km – Elevation 1200m
Spicy – Lanciego extensión – 86 km – Elevation 1500m

Day 5: Bonjour La France!

Today, we’ll transition from the Spanish Basque Country to the French side, Le Pays Basque. Our ride kicks off at Jaizkibel mount, bidding Spain farewell with a coffee break in charming Hondarribia. Crossing into France, you’ll feel the different atmosphere. Enjoy lunch in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, and in the evening, explore the vibrant town of Biarritz. This journey offers a seamless blend of cultures and a delightful taste of both Spanish and French Basque charm.

Day 6: Le Pays Basque

Today we will discover the enchanting Basque towns of Espelette, renowned for its vibrant red peppers, Ainhoa, a picturesque village with traditional Basque houses, and Sare, nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees. For those seeking a more extensive route, there’s the option to briefly cross into Spain before returning to Brindos.
As the day concludes, enjoy a delightful farewell dinner by the serene lakeside, surrounded by the natural beauty of the region.

Day 7: Adios, Au Revoir, Agur!

After breakfast, we’ll check out and travel together to San Sebastian. There, we’ll enjoy a city tour, followed by a delightful farewell Pintxos lunch. Afterwards, we’ll arrange transfers to Bilbao airport, ensuring a smooth conclusion to your adventure.
