How does it work

Day 1: Welcome to Palma!

Welcome to Palma!

Arriving in Mallorca, you’ll be welcomed with a private transfer directly to your hotel in Palma, the elegant Hotel Es Princep
located in the city’s atmospheric old town with incredible sea views
of Palma Bay.

We will gather on the rooftop terrace for aperitivo followed by dinner.

Day 2: Mallorca’s Central Plain

Today’s Ride: Let’s go! After breakfast, we will get you kitted up with your bikes. This route is a great introduction to the island of Mallorca, offering a mix of scenic countryside, charming villages, and relatively easy terrain. We will start riding along the sea in Palma, then pass by the lovely towns of Llucmajor and Santa Eugenia.
Lunch will be in the lovely winery of Biniagual.
Upon our return we will enjoy dinner at our local pick in Palma.

Salty – Palma loop – 80 km – Elevation 500m
Spicy – Lloret extension 91 km – Elevation 750m

Day 3: Tramuntana Taste

We depart Palma and enter the breathtaking Serra de Tramuntana, pedaling along the coast with spectacular views and stunning villages of Estellencs and Banyalbufar towards quaint Valldemossa, where we will stop for lunch. Afterwards we will ride by the picturesque village of Deia on our way to our destination, the lovely Esplendido Hotel in Puerto Soller to enjoy your sea view room!

Salty – Port de Soller Route – 73 km – Elevation 1600m
Spicy – Coastal Road Challenge – 93 km – Elevation 2100m

Day 4: SAILING BOAT Day!

Let’s give our legs a rest and enjoy a day at sea! We will embark in a beautiful private sailing yacht and admire Mallorca’s coast and crystal clear waters. Lunch today is at Sa Foradada, in an idyllic location on the North Coast of Mallorca. For those who still want to ride, there will be a short early ride available. The evening is at your leisure, exploring the many options of restaurants and shopping that lively Port de Soller has to offer.

Sweet– Coll de Soller out & back – 35 km – Elevation 900m

Accommodation: Esplendido Hotel

Day 5: Sa Calobra Challenge

Today we will ascend into the dramatic Tramuntana Mountains, where the terrain is captivatingly diverse. From rocky lunar landscapes to magnificent coastal cliffs that plunge into the azure sea, the ride reveals hand-hewn tunnels, mountain lakes, shady forests and quaint sandstone villages. Extension to famous and iconic Sa Calobra is possible on this day, although it’s a challenging one. Lunch at Mortitx, an emblematic winery that is also the highest one in the island. Our final destination is the lovely town of Pollença, our home for the last two nights.

Spicy – Sa Calobra Challenge – 81 km – Elevation 2200m

Day 6: Formentor

Today you will challenge yourselves on the epic Cap de Formentor lighthouse ride—one of Mallorca’s legendary roads. The main climb of the day will take you from Port de Pollença to the Colomer Mirador where you can admire the magnificent views of craggy rocks and the shimmering blue sea. Lunch will be at your leisure in the medieval walled town of Alcúdia. In the evening we will toast to a wonderful trip with a farewell dinner.

Sweet – Alcudia Lunch Route – 50 km – Elevation 700m
Salty – Formentor Out & Back – 68 km – Elevation 1150m
Spicy – Mirador Victoria Extension – 80 km – Elevation 1400m

Day 7: Sa Batalla & Campanet

For our final ride we will discover the tranquil roads around the villages of Campanet and the classic climb of Sa Batalla, coffee break in the enchanting village of Caimari. After lunch, a private shuttle will take you to the airport or your next accommodation in Mallorca.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of working with Foodie Cycling and Mar Suau to plan our dream honeymoon trip, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. We embarked on an 8-day cycling adventure, exploring the beautiful landscapes of Mallorca, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. From the moment we contacted Foodie Cycling, Mar was incredibly helpful and attentive. She guided us through the entire planning process, taking into account our preferences and desires for the trip. Her expertise and passion for cycling were evident, and it made us feel confident that we were in good hands. Throughout the entire journey, Mar was an exceptional host. During our trip, we had the opportunity to visit some breathtaking locations, including Coll de Sa Batalla, Cap de Formentor lighthouse, and Puerte de Soller. The accommodations arranged by Foodie Cycling were outstanding. We stayed at Son Brull and Esplendido, both of which exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, amenities, and hospitality. After a long day of cycling, it was a joy to return to these welcoming and luxurious hotels. The bikes provided by Foodie Cycling were top-notch. We rented a Pinarello and a Specialized electric bike, both of which were in excellent condition and performed flawlessly throughout the trip. The quality of the equipment enhanced our cycling experience and allowed us to fully enjoy the stunning landscapes of Mallorca. Overall, our honeymoon trip with Foodie Cycling and Mar Suau was an absolute delight. Mar's professionalism, attention to detail, and unwavering support made this journey truly special. Dear Mar, We are so appreciative of the foodie cycling adventure! We fell in love with Mallorca. The Rides - I don’t think we will travel or sightsee any other way from now on. The routes were perfect; the climbs were invigorating and the descents were exhilarating. The Food - Your suggestions were fantastic. We can tell you’ve spent time curating the best of the best. We especially loved La Bodeguilla and Patiki Beach. The Hotels - We will miss the hotel adventures. Each town and hotel was unique. Pollencia was so calm and restive. The views on Port de Soller were breathtaking, and Palma was so vibrant. It was terrific seeing multiple communities and ways of living within one trip! Fantastico!!! My wife and I just shared a wonderfully memorable 9-day trip in Mallorca thanks to Mar Sau of Foodie Cycling. I found Mar from Instagram, reached out to her via her Foodie Cycling website, and she took care of the rest. For me, Mar organized cycling routes that took me from Palma, to Port de Sóller, and Pollença via some of the most epic climbs in Mallorca - Puig, Major, Sa Calobra, Formentor, Femenia. I rode solo. Throughout my ride, Mar was always available to provide any support I needed - from helping me get back on course when my navigation skills failed me to ensuring minor mech issues were resolved. Oh, and my trusty steed for my ride was a top of the line Pinarello. Post ride, Mar lined up dinner for each night at each town for my wife and I to enjoy. From tapas in Palma (including at a restaurant we discovered that had an all-Filipino kitchen staff), sailing to have wood-fired Paella with a view, to a tasting menu at Son Brull, every restaurant offered something different, all fresh and delicious. And all our accommodations exceeded my wife's standards for comfort and amenities. And the cherry on top? My wife and I were in Spain to celebrate our 30th anniversary and, aside from Mallorca, we planned a trip to Girona. We wanted to dine at El Celler de Can Roca for the celebration. Getting a reservation at that establishment is near impossible, even if one tried several months ahead of time as I had. We were just about a month away from our trip, and I asked Mar if she might be able to contact El Celler for me and arrange dinner reservations, just in case. Well, she produced a miracle for us!!! If I could give Mar 10-stars I would. I look forward to our next visit to Mallorca and to trusting arrangements again to Mar.

Wow, what a trip. I was looking to plan an active but special trip to Mallorca to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Foodie Cycling was the way to go! When I initially discovered Foodie Cycling, I reached out to Mar Suau, the founder of the company. She over the course of months curated a highly detailed trip that exceeded our expectations. From the day we landed, Mar sent a private driver to pick us up and start our experience at Son Brull, an old Jesuit Monastary converted to luxury hotel with peaceful and restful views of quiet vineyards and Spanish countryside. This was the launching pad for many rides to some of Mallorcas iconic destinations including Cap de Formentor and the Serra Tremuntana mountains. Each hotel was luxurious with views of the ocean, lush green countryside and eventual city, in Palma. All to say, Mar curated a trip for us that filled the senses, was memorable, and full of small details that made us feel special. Between the rides, hand picked restaurants, chartering a day at sea on a sailboat, and carefully guided gps maps for our rides, Mar created the environment needed to fall in love with both Mallorca and each other. Thank you Mar and thank you Foodie Cycling, you helped make our 20yr anniversary celebration one of the best vacations of our lives. We will definitely be back!

She was so lovely to work with. She helped create such a magical trip for us by letting us see the most beautiful sites in Mallorca to introducing us to some of the best restaurants on the island. For the 5 months prior to our departure for Mallorca, Mar was in regular contact with us helping to put what turned out to be an amazing itinerary together, as well as organising our bike hire. From the moment we set foot on Spanish soil, everything was taken care of by Mar and her team. We were met in the baggage hall and escorted along with our luggage to an air-conditioned car which transported us to our first venue. This level of service continued through the week – all we had to do was enjoy the cycling and the incredible food in the restaurants recommended by Mar. As two novice road cyclists Mar made it very easy for us by making lunch and dinner reservations (and changing reservation times if we got delayed), recommending places not to miss during our cycles and suggestions for places to stop for a coffee. We feel that through Foodie Cycling we got to experience the best that Mallorca has to offer and we loved it so much that we are already planning another visit to Mallorca in the next 12 months. We would highly recommend Mar and her team in Foodie Cycling.

My husband and I spent 9 wonderful days on Mallorca cycling and sightseeing in September. Just had the most fabulous few days cycling in Mallorca with foodiecycling.com. The trip was seamless and couldn’t have been better organised from the moment we were met in the baggage hall to having our quality bikes brought to us, fitted and routes explained/downloaded so that we didn’t once get lost! to our luggage always being in the room when we arrived at our destinations. The routes were spectacular and challenging and hotels and restaurants chosen for us were all great quality allowing us to enjoy relaxing by the pools after a long, hilly bike ride and experience some incredible food! Mar really made us feel well looked after in what was our first cycling trip and allowed for a totally stress free and enjoyable holiday - we are still buzzing!!
